So this is Stella. She's been living with us for ten days now and she's fit into the routine pretty well. My biggest complaint is that she's got my sleep schedule (which is good), but with the energy of a puppy (which is not). That means that she is all about the playing and the romping at midnight. I'm awake, sure, but not exactly at my energetic finest.
That's a minor complaint, though. She's very sweet and very smart. As soon as she figures out what you want (and how badly you want it), she falls into line. She's more Bruce's dog than she is mine, which is fine -- she loves me well enough.
[It's 12:40 and I just had to stop typing to play tug o' war with her.]
She has learned how to walk on a leash without pulling. She is crate trained and trots right in when I tell her it's bedtime or when I am going out to run errands. She barks LIKE CRAZY when anyone comes to the door. Or jogs by the house. Or walks by the house. Or delivers a package. But -- that's kind of what dogs do.
Bruce is taking her to a dog park tomorrow so he can let her off a leash and let her run. I can't wait to hear how that turns out.
